Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using SnapReceipt ("the App"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

2. Description

SnapReceipt uses AI to scan and digitize receipts and checks from photos. Photos are stored locally on your device. Pro subscribers can sync receipt metadata to the cloud and access it via the web dashboard at app.snapreceipt.ai.

3. Accounts

You may sign in with Apple or Google to use cloud features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.

4. Free Tier & Pro Subscription

Free tier includes 10 scans per month and 1 folder.
Pro subscription unlocks unlimited scans, unlimited folders and subfolders, cloud sync, and web dashboard access.
Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store, Google Play, or Stripe.
You can cancel anytime through your device's subscription settings or Stripe.
No refunds for partial billing periods (subject to platform policies).

5. Your Data

You own your data. Receipt photos remain on your device and are never uploaded. Only extracted text metadata (store name, items, totals) is synced to the cloud for Pro subscribers. You can delete your cloud data at any time from your profile settings.

6. AI Accuracy

Receipt scanning uses AI which may produce errors. Always verify extracted data. We are not liable for inaccurate scans or any decisions made based on scanned data.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for illegal purposes
Attempt to reverse-engineer or abuse the API
Submit non-receipt/non-check images to waste processing resources
Automate or bot access to the scanning service

8. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, and code are owned by HQS Apps. Your receipt data belongs to you.

9. Limitation of Liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HQS APPS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE APP.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend access for violation of these terms or abuse of the service.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
