TL;DR: Photos never leave your device. We sync only text metadata for Pro users. We don't sell your data. Ever.
Account info — When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email and display name. This is used to identify your account for cloud sync.
Receipt metadata — For Pro subscribers, extracted text data (store name, items, totals, dates) is synced to the cloud. This enables web dashboard access at app.snapreceipt.ai.
Subscription status — Managed by RevenueCat. We receive purchase status to unlock Pro features. We do not see your payment details.
Receipt images are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for text extraction. Images are processed in real-time via encrypted connection and are not stored by our servers or Anthropic beyond the request. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
Pro subscribers' receipt metadata is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS). Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Each user can only access their own data via row-level security policies.
Camera access is used solely to photograph receipts and checks. Photo library access is used only to import existing receipt images. We do not access other photos.
SnapReceipt is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated in the App. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated date.
